Usually, selling or disposing of your investment property will trigger Federal and state capital gain and depreciation recapture income taxes, which will leave you with much less to reinvest.

This makes it extremely difficult for you to trade up in real estate value, increase your cash flow and ultimately your net-worth when you have to recognize and pay these income tax liabilities.

The 1031 exchange allows you to sell or dispose of and subsequently acquire properties in order to reallocate, consolidate or diversify your investment portfolio without paying tax on any capital gain or depreciation recapture taxes.

1031 exchange transactions are one of the last remaining strategies available to defer the recognition of capital gain and depreciation recapture income taxes on the sale or disposition of qualifying property.

As the lead underwriter for the company, Anna teaches deal analysis for MultifamilyU in quarterly Boot Camps. MultifamilyU is an apartment investing education company owned by the principal Neal Bawa. Also via MultifamilyU, Anna hosts weekly webinar events featuring top speakers in real estate. Anna is regularly interviewed on podcasts in the industry, with over 25 podcast appearances so far in 2019. Anna Myers also co-hosts two monthly Real Estate Investor Meetups in the Bay Area with over 1000 members.

Related to Syndication with Grocapitus, Anna and Neal have successfully completed Equity Raises of 25 Million dollars for Multifamily Acquisitions in the last 12 months, resulting in over 1300 units purchased. Lauren Speidel is the Business Development Officer for Exeter 1031 Exchange Services, LLC, Exeter Reverse 1031 Exchange Services, LLC and its affiliate companies. Lauren is based in the company’s Midwest Regional office located in Chicago, Illinois.

Mrs. Speidel joined Exeter 1031 Exchange Services, LLC in 2017. She is responsible for sales, marketing and client relationship management for the Midwest including, but not limited to, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, and Missouri.

Lauren can assist clients with Forward 1031 Exchanges, Reverse 1031 Exchanges and Improvement 1031 Exchanges. She has worked extensively with financial planners, settlement agents, real estate agents and brokers, closing attorneys, registered representatives and accountants in the administration of their clients’ 1031 Exchange transactions.
